How he has had an effect on little things in life.

My husband told me yesterday he can no longer watch pro golf on TV. He does not want to watch people who have played golf with Donald Trump.

We mute the TV when his voice is on (along with Pence, Ryan, McConnell and others). We have never considered buying a product with his or Ivanka's name on it. Never watched on moment of his TV show.

We are currently deciding which movie to watch during prime time Tuesday night.

I heard someone talk this morning about his great charisma, I am apparently immune to that. I find NOTHING appealing about him and his words and his attitudes. He is ignorant, his word choices are very limited and simple. His judgement in people is pathetic and dangerously wrong.

There are HUGE issues with his administration, he is doing damage that may never be repaired. I live in fear and disgust.

But sometimes you notice the little things like not watching golf on TV on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

"That thing" has changed the way I feel about my country, too.

I am embarrassed for us and for our image as seen overseas. He actually embarrasses us to other countries. I think all other world leaders see him as a joke, a buffoon, an idiot. The fact that we even have 35% of the population here that supports him is embarrassing. I read where, in Europe, it's something like 5% of the people there have a favorable view of "that thing". We have lost all respect among our former allies. And every day he says or does something to denigrate or insult another group, nationality, or culture, both here and abroad. Pence is no better.

So, yes, I agree with you TNNurse, I try not to associate anything I watch on TV with "it". Sad that we have leaders who make us feel this way, huh?

In fact, I'd rather watch grass grow.

I do agree with you about Cheetoh, though. He has brought shame upon this country and everyone in it.

In a sense, since Trump was elected we have ALL become DREAMERS. We dream of him being impeached, tried and jailed for treason.

At least, I do.

I can’t stand to watch or hear Trump. He is the epitome of the ugly Amercan who is ignorant and proud in his ignorance. His habit of praising himself, using very simple sentences and repeating them over and over, and his lack of a vocabulary that might demonstrate that he has even some grasp of complex issues all make me crimge in embarrassment that he represents our country in the world. He has corrupted Washington and the Republican Party, and is well on his way to corrupting our laws as his DOJ serves him, not the country. Neil Gorsuch is a corruption of the Supreme Court because that was Obama’s appointment. Of course, we can’t blame Trump for McConnell’s actions, but I do hope that we also see McConnell brought down as part of the Russian collusion.

As the tour opened in Hawaii and shifted to California, I tried to watch for even a few minutes, but all I could think of was privileged assholes, even though I know that's not true of even half the pros on tour.

I'm sticking with public tracks for now, but the longer Twitler remains in DC, the more my enthusiasm for the game wanes.

Before Trump entered the political arena, he would show up on TV now and then for no really good reason and I found him peculiar and rather oafish. He thought of himself as a celebrity, but I thought of him as an oddity and I couldn't understand why he got so much media attention. Coming from the Midwest, Trump was not a regular in our news.

I never watched The Apprentice, but from the clips I've seen, he was a terrible on camera performer. I fail to find any talent in the man, aside from being outrageous and obnoxious, more like a cartoon character than a celebrity. And now that cartoon character is president of the United States. I am living in a constant state of shock and awe.

If dump or one of the critters comes on the air my on/off switch goes OFF. And stays of through inertia and not being sure there won't be more political quibbling (or fund drives) when it's turned back on. I have a terrible affliction of not being able to just tune out the noise.

We don't have a T.V. (used to have 2-3) so that's not a problem. I get my news/science/etc. fixes from the non-linear streaming still available over the internet. Guess that's in jeapordy too.

because of the election. He was fighting cancer, and the odds were against him. At least one of his doctors thought he had more time. Cleveland lost the Word Series and then on top of that, tripe got the electoral college votes. I think my dear lost his will to fight. Because that p.o.s. is in the public eye, every bit of his venal, law-breaking, disgusting life is being scrutinized. He will always have brain-dead supporters, and toadies kissing his ass, but when he leaves the White House, he will have no standing in the world.

I mute or pause when he comes on. Watch SOTU? No. I can't watch that travesty, when everyone pretends that that ugly, disgusting scourge is legally holding the title. Not after all that we know already.

Now, I can't watch the news (AKA "Celebrity President" show).

They have countdown clocks for next time words come out of his mouth!

The one reassuring bit is every time people gather together with no "promotional propaganda agenda" they slam the shit out of that pathetic, evil jackass - and things are just a tiny bit better! (see "Grammys" )
