Hailed by Republicans as a boost for the middle class, the law is expected to be framed as a win by Trump in his State of the Union address on Tuesday and to be a key theme for both parties headed into Novembers congressional elections.
But views of the laws impact were decidedly mixed: 24 percent of respondents in the poll said they expected to pay less tax under the new law; 27 percent said they expected to pay more; 23 percent said they expected no change.

(63,215 posts)1. My company gave bonuses for the first time in decades
However, while bonuses are appreciated, it's a one-time deal, while the tax cuts will be in effect much longer.

Businesses have until February before they have to use the new withholding numbers, so if there is any effect in your paycheck, you wont see it till then. I wouldn't expect much in this years tax filings as well. Next years filings will show the most impact.
