....the Deputy Director, McCabe. Slowly but surely, the CEO is taking over the Justice Department. His next target would probably be someone like Rosenstein, or maybe a good time to get rid of Sessions?
Since he already has his generals in place at Defense and National Security, his only opposition would be from the Legislature, the Republican House and Senate. But, some might say he has the Legislature licking his boots? They will support him when push comes to shove.
It is like a well-planned coup, led by incompetents and ignoramuses.
It's almost like it was planned somewhere else??

(115,732 posts)because the whole idea was that each branch would be a check on the others. Nice try, Mr. Madison. It worked for awhile; you foresaw the possibility of a bad president but I guess you didn't anticipate the depths of corruption to which the legislative branch could sink in aid of that bad president.

(10,831 posts)Rosenstein, replacing him with a Trump leaning deputy and then throwing as many monkey-wrenches as possible into the Mueller investigation. Firing Mueller at this point would cause a firestorm. Though there are many in the House who wouldn't raise a finger, the Senate is expected to push back. Lindsey Graham said over the weekend that Mueller's firing would end the Trumpster's reign.
