I never really paid much attention to Joseph Kennedy III before, and I listened in the car as our "President" mocked American values and worked to divide the country from the world's biggest bully pulpit. I was saddened, is this what our country has become? But then when I got home, it was Joseph Kennedy III's turn to respond. And instead of the false platitudes of the SOTU, we heard from a young, hopeful progressive from Massachusetts that doesn't speak with venom in his voice, but with hope and dignity. Unlike 45, he is a decent man. He encourages us to be better versions of ourselves, not to tear down anybody who disagrees with us. I think he is exactly what this country needs, and tonight JFK and RFK's grandson kicked some serious ass.

(1,009 posts)It felt like an obama moment. Really, thats what a president is suppose to do. Rally the country. Make us feel like our lives are safe in their hands.
I would vote for him in a second. I have a ginger son named Joe too, so Im a little biased.

(3,077 posts)He is a great example of what makes America special and unique. He is a fighter for the people. And when he spoke in Spanish, my mom and I started to cry. He is a healing balm in the midst of the agony of this shit show administration.
