Exactly right !
I turned the speech on last night for about 60 seconds.
Saw "the Donald" say what a good fellow he is,
and then he began applauding himself.

When he does that, I'm reminded of the old Soviet leaders who stood atop the Kremlin,
applauding.

Had it on CSPAN down low but purposely sat in another part of the room with my back to the TV to listen only while crocheting an afghan... and kept hearing singular incidences of very loud clapping during each clapping session and wondered who the heck was near enough the microphone to be picked up that loudly.

Now I know!
