Nassar's first public accuser 'beyond disappointed' at Michigan State decision.

Nassar's first public accuser 'beyond disappointed' with decision to name Engler interim president at Michigan State.

Rachael Denhollander, the first woman to publicly accuse former sports medicine doctor Larry Nassar of sexual abuse, had harsh words Tuesday after Michigan State University decided to appoint former Gov. John Engler as interim president.

"I am beyond disappointed to hear this," Denhollander, 33, said on her Facebook page. "Engler is a deep political insider at MSU. At a time the university desperately needs, and survivors pleaded for, outside accountability and leadership, the Board chooses one of the most entrenched insiders."

Her post went on to say: "Despite the Board's words about accountability, it is business as usual. I sincerely hope the Board reconsiders."

My mother was a university VP for most of her career, and I work at a university now (and we have both seen multiple "transitions" at the top)... No way in hell is any university hiring an "outsider" to be the interim after a snap resignation... If they decide to make this guy full-time, well that's another issue
