FBI Director Christopher Wray will issue a rare public rebuttal to the Nunes memo when and if it is released.
In a stunning development, FBI Director Christopher Wray will issue a rebuttal to an intelligence memo soon to be approved for public distribution by the President of the United States.

I love this part:
"I think we have to remember the Nunes memo is an advocacy piece. It's not a fact piece. This is Chairman Nunes' summary of what he believes the abuses are. For that reason, it's one-sided," Townsend said. Townsend, who spent 13 years at the Justice Department, said it's simply "not possible" for one partisan actor to push through a FISA warrant or to obtain one based on a single piece of evidence.
It looks like the FBI iasn't going to take this sitting down!

(17,387 posts)Trump can blame Wray, since Trump had fired Comey and replaced him with Wray. Also, if Wray just stayed silent, then Trump would continue to push and push and begin an effort to discredit him the way he has other federal officials who did not fall in line and offer loyalty to Trump.
