@RepAdamSchiff
No, Mr. President its worse than that. The countrys top elected leader has agreed to selectively and misleadingly release classified info to attack the FBI thats what would have been unthinkable a short time ago.
@realDonaldTrump
The top Leadership and Investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department have politicized the sacred investigative process in favor of Democrats and against Republicans - something which would have been unthinkable just a short time ago. Rank & File are great people!
@JoyAnnReid
The top leadership of the FBI and Justice Department (current and former, including Wray, Mueller and James Comey) are Republicans. The Justice Department and FBI are led by Republicans appointed by Donald Trump. Are they politicized against themselves?

(14,154 posts)...... that he is pissing off the domestic and international intelligence gathering communities.
Having spooks painting a bull's eye on your back and using you for target practice is not the wisest move on his behalf.
Tr-dump is used to acting like a NYC thug - down and dirty mud fights where you drag your opponent down into the gutter then into the sewers - with the intent that the filthy stench freaks them out and they fold, surrender, and run for the hills to get as far the hell away from you as they possibly can.
Well.... Tr-dump has met his match.... spooks are not intimidated by white trash thugs with a king sized big mouth like "The Donald".
Some take an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution - and take that matter very seriously. Others expect and demand allegiance be sworn to themselves - we refer to those folks as Fascist Authoritarian Dictators. Anyone with a brain knows which category Donald John Trump has parked himself.

(19,560 posts)Trump is well aware that he is on impeachment ground.
This memos real purpose is to provide political cover with the base to those Republicans who do not vote to impeach Trump once the facts are revealed by Mueller.
It is putting a band aid on a severed jugular.

(22,129 posts)If one thinks about it, what logic exists to attack such an organization? To gain favor/show in a positive light? Obviously not. To not gain favor/show in a bad light? This seems to be the choice of action, and it has to be based upon perhaps leaked evidence of some sort against tRUMP and/or his lackeys from the Mueller and/or other sources, OR perhaps (more likely) paranoid thinking of tRUMP (most likely), upon no evidence what-so-ever.
I would assume that (my opinion) this is perhaps an unintended side effect of Mueller being so quiet and silent in his investigations (which w/ tRUMP, is totally contrary, since he has to drive the news cycle everyday). So this has got to be driving tRUMP crazy. Plain bat crazy. Good. He'll slip up more. After all, he's knows it all, w/ all of his thousands of civil lawsuits, etc. that he's went through already.
He'll soon know...that this is a whole new ballgame, w/ very serious consequences for all. No fooling around, no kidding around, no more deflection and / or jokes. Very serious business.

(6,254 posts)will unite and take a stand for Justice and the rule of law. It must be so for if it is not, chaos and lawlessness will prevail. Recall what some prominent historians have said, it takes about a year of undermining our institutions before rot starts to set take hold and threatens a democracy. Should Trump and the republicans succeed in their continued pursuit of destroying democratic norms and long held established rules of governing then why should anyone, any group or any state feel constrained by the rule of law? Will the Supreme Court when it is called upon to act abdicate its role as a check on the other 2 braches of government in favor of a despot or will they shed their political leanings and restore the rule of law and save the Republic? I fear that these questions will soon need to be answered and we will indeed see if our country is strong enough to repel the forces of a Tyrant, a cuckolded Legislature and a media empire bent on destroying the once sacred goodness and morality of a nation and its people.
