One thing I have noticed about Comrade Donald.

It is that he does not make long-range plans. He lives for today. He does not think about tomorrow. Some have called him "transactional".

He is an improviser and a bullshitter. If he makes a decision today that does not look good tomorrow, he will improvise some sort of excuse or try to bullshit his way out of it. Or create a distraction to change the subject. Every day is a new beginning.

That has worked for him in his business world but it is difficult for our nation to try to change into something different every day. Groundhog Day is a very appropriate day for his personality.

If he releases the "memo" today and it flops, he will be on a new subject tomorrow, as if the release of the memo never happened? But, if his base latches onto it, he will take it as an opportunity. He will push it as far as he can, creating more divisions and chaos along the way.

He is like a pinball bouncing off the pins and making all kinds of noise...

He doesn't think through any consequences of his actions. Possibly the worst trait imaginable for a POTUS.

Am getting angrier every day about how we're constantly being jerked around with health insurance. How can you budget or plan anything? In my house we don't have a lot of wealth or leeway to up and change things every year.

Actually he doesn't even think about five minutes from now. Instant gratification is all that he understands.

My mother has had this problem all of her life. My late grandmother told us, "you have to watch her." So, it seems to be a mental processing thing (low IQ) and just like Mr. I-am-very-smart-and-have-the-best-memory, she's very defensive and excessively ego-driven. And, of course, she's a Republican (and fundie Christian. My father dated her for only a few months before his service in WWII; they married shorty after his return from Europe, so I don't think he knew her well.)

Seems to prove that mental capacity somewhat dictates personality and political allegiance. Are some folks just hopeless?
