My first question is: is Devin Nunes that stupid?
There is nothing here that hasn't been alleged before, but there is also no proof of his allegations, either. There is nothing actionable, no proof of conspiracy or political bias. This required declassification by Trump?
A big nothingburger, to use a popular Republican expression.

(15,286 posts)Carter Page has been under surveillence. The FISA renewal application Rosenstein signed was about the 5th one.
Anyway, the "dossier" has been public for over a year now. A lot of it has already been independently confirmed and reported in the media. About the only uncomfirmed stuff is the sexcapades.

A 'nobody' --their word--who has been shown to be a stooge since 2013--and an accusation that, what, FISA judges aren't doing their jobs?? (Or did they think that far ahead? Sorry, could have stopped with the 'did they think' part!)

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), who is the ranking member on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the classified material used to prepare the Republican memo did not support its conclusions.
"Unlike almost every House member who voted in favor of this memo's release, I have actually read the underlying documents on which the #NunesMemo was based. They simply do not support its conclusions," he tweeted.

(12,618 posts)But even more than that, what this memo reveal is how truly DESPERATE they are. Mueller is closing in and they know it. And if I had to guess, I'd say that Mueller will eventually be looking at a lot more players than Chump, namely the GOP Congress. They will try anything at this point.
