let's blame it on jobs report; Janet Yellen, the bond market; etc.

But let's give a pass to Trump. He didn't do anything to cause the traders in the market - to lose confidence or make them nervous. We're not on the verge of a Constitutional Crisis - that is Trump induced.

Let's continue to make excuses for him.

The memo proves nothing but trump's desperation. "The target is getting buggy," as Malcolm Nance says. He's getting more irrational, and there is speculation that the feces hit the fan in the next 60 days.

There goes the traders' hopes and dreams of trading on further deregulation, drilling in people's parks, and cutting taxes further on billionaires.

Cemented Trump's coming impeachment which will add uncertainty to the economy for much of the year. The market responds negatively to uncertainty. This drop is much more significant than an interest rate related drop.

sell off in the bond market, and the market is concerned about interest rates rising, which they are going to do

This was not unlike what happened in 1987. Of course programs accelerated the sell off then an now.

The Nunes memo revealed nothing new, and the very real risk of the Mueller's investigation to this administration was known as the market went up above 25 thousand on the DOW.

Higher interest rates mean a slower economy
