I'm reminded of the end of Amadeus, where Salieri, in the throes of insanity, says (and this pretty much sums Trump up in a nutshell): "I speak for all mediocrities in the world. I am their champion; I am their patron saint. Mediocrities everywhere, I absolve you..."

I mean we know what he is trying to say, but his supporters seem to be rightfully confused. Especially anyone who knows that the memo does nothing like that.
