Per the Cambridge dictionary---"Perjury: the crime off lying in court testimony after

having taken an oath to tell the truth."

So, when Trump refuses to testify under oath because he fears a "perjury trap", he's simply saying he doesn't want to be penalized when, not if, he lies.

Would he agree to being water-boarded? I don't think those "interviews" require an oath.
