Left - Right - Conservative - Liberal - Extremist - Centrist

This post was inspired by former Republican, Max Boot. He made a remark about wanting to find a sober center-right party now that the Republican Party has gone nuts. That got me to thinking.

The majority in the country are quite likely toward the squishy middle. Center-left or center-right. So who are these politicians? Is Joe Manchin Center-left or Center-right? Claire McCaskill? Jon Tester? Heidi Heitkamp? Steve Schmidt? George Will? George W. Bush? Nicole Wallace?

My intent here is not to start a debate or challenge anyone's answers. I'm just curious. Who do you see as center-L or center-R? What about Joe Biden? Bill Clinton? Hillary Clinton? Barack Obama?

In my view, everyone I mentioned here is center-L or center-R. But that's just my view. I'm interested in your views.
