someone is kneeling in front of him talking to him. he wasn't just not standing, he wasn't even acknowledging the existence of the Korean team. EMBARRASSING.

Of my country, our leader that is there is openly rude by sitting, everyone else is standing for unified Korea.

Its a huge deal and makes us look bad!

I don;t think I have ever been so touched by one of these ceremonies-especially when the Koreans came in and the singing of ARIRANG - maybe because of my dear friends in South Korea.. and I even know a few whose parents escaped from the North.... or whose 'ancestors' are from the North part of the peninsula

I find this in the people I know there as well... patience, very connected to themselves and others.

I have a friend who's son is an aspiring concert violinist. A very good one at that. Whenever 'he' practices or has a performance or is at a competition, she always refers to it as 'we' are practicing, or we did well, or we didn;'t make it this time.

I asked her about this and she said it is the Korean way.
