While some Republicans have been calling on Mitt Romney to be more forthcoming with past years' tax returns, he has one defender: Herman Cain.
The former Republican presidential candidate and pizza executive said Wednesday that Democrats were trying to demonize Romney's success in demanding additional tax returns.
Let me say this as emphatically as I can: Who cares about Mitt Romney’s tax returns?" Cain told the Sacramento Bee. "Secondly, I love the fact that the guy is rich. You got people who are trying to make it seem like being rich is bad.”
Allies of President Obama have said that Romney should disclose additional returns in keeping with the tradition started by Romney's father during his bid for the White House.
