Can't win.....

So, I finally have a year that I will receive a decent tax refund, and quite frankly, I need it. I got my taxes done early and filed them. I wait and wait and start checking on the status only to find out that my return will be delayed until February 27th or later because of a whopping $45 EIC. The republican congress, in all its wisdom, passed the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act, part of which made it against the law for the IRS to issue tax returns to recipients of EITC or ACTC before Feb 15th. As a consequence, they hold the entire refund. So, I'll have to wait more than a month for my refund. I'm so PISSED I can barely see straight.

So now I am sitting in a house in Northern Minnesota with the thermostat set at 55 degrees because I can't afford to let the furnace run. I can't put into words how much I despise republicans and the damage they are inflicting on the nonrich.
