He is more of a conservative Democrat than a Republican, ideologically speaking... Bill Clinton style Dem.

it. This stuff is built-in at such an early age, it's almost hard-wired in. It takes a serious jolt for some people to wake up.

Some southerers catch on in the military, but some don't. Others get saved by a great e.r. nurse or a fireman or a room mate or an organ donor and they have to come around.
