(31,113 posts)fucking around with all this minutia, details, and when will we get serious and do something about it?
No, domestic abuse is not details or minutia, not what I am saying. I am saying there is no crime, there is no bad behavour they wont engage in. That is who they are.

(31,113 posts)They are waging war with our country.
There is no law broken or crime commited that their deplorable base wont support them on.
We are mired in the details of what traitors do when they take over the WH instead of THERE ARE TRAITORS in the WH.
I dont have a solution, I am just pointing it out.

(7,434 posts)is when the "leadership" in the government will get serious. But let's think about the scope of the reaction to this kind of bloodletting.
Mueller will indict numerous people who are or were in the White House under Trumpy. Mueller will also indict the GOP leadership. So, WHO is left to offer a "get serious about Russia" reaction? Oh. The Democrats. The Democrats are in the minority of EVERY branch of federal government. So... getting serious means that those in the GOP who are not implicated in crimes, and the Democrats, will have to stand against the GOP leadership (Ryan, McConnell, Nunez, Chaffetz, Cotton, Scalise, Grassley, etc.) AND the White House in asserting the primacy of the Rule of Law.
Mueller's "Purge" (by way of indictments and prosecutions) will completely change the face of the federal government. Whoever is left standing will have to step up and be leaders. Right now, the sickness in the government is like a moving cancer tumor that is about to break the surface. When it breaks, all hell will break loose. Let's hope that the leadership for a gutted and transformed government is up to the task.

(1,020 posts)Russia passed a law that permits husbands to "lightly abuse" their wives. No KO punches, mind you; but "slapping the little lady around" is no longer a crime.
Apparently Trump feels this is a good thing and is all too happy to make excuses where this happens.
He is completely immoral. He must go or this will be the law here...
