School shootings

So we are on our 18th school shooting of the year and it's only February. When will this insanity end? My heart breaks for the family and friends of those lost. These young people lost their lives going to school. How incredibly fucked up is that? And I am not negating the loss of life in other shootings, my main point is that people were going about their normal daily business but because of one person, so many lives are negatively impacted. Parents are without children today. Brothers and sisters are without siblings today. Friends are without friends today. And the politicians saturate social media with thoughts and prayers. And I do believe in that power. But there are so many that use that phrase as an empty and meaningless fill in the blank as an appropriate response. Check the I said thoughts and prayers box. So we cry and get outraged but the cycle continues. It's disgusting. I want it to stop. I want it to change. The question is how. Ok maybe I know some of the how. The question is how do we take action to do something.

access to guns is more important than anyone's life, that's how long this insanity will last.

Until there is a fundamental shift in the thinking of enough people, this will go on.
