Because Adam Schiff says the Intelligence Committee has an abundance of such evidence. Since that Committee does, we KNOW that Mueller has everything they have and even more.
But for now, in a brilliant move, Mueller has forced the whole Congress to focus solely on Russians and how we can get them out of the next election. The R's can't hide behind their previous claims that this is just a partisan ploy. Nothing about today's indictment is partisan.
And how would Trump look if he tried to fire Rosenstein or Mueller now?

Speaking to reporters in Washington, Schiff said a lot of information was already in the public domain that pointed to extensive contacts between the Trump campaign team and the Kremlin, and later efforts by the Trump entourage to cover up those contacts. But Schiff said there was much more to come out.
He said: There is certainly an abundance of non-public information that weve gathered in the investigation. And I think some of that non-public evidence is evidence on the issue of collusion and some
on the issue of obstruction.

Schiff, from California, added on Wednesday that the intelligence committee had also seen evidence pointing towards money laundering involving Trumps circle, but had been hindered by the partisan deadlock that has paralysed its investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
He said: It is a tried and true maxim. As a former prosecutor, you follow the money. We have not been able to adequately follow the money. And I think the allegations on money laundering are credible enough that we ought to, in the exercise of due diligence, see if this was one of the other vectors of the Russian active measures campaign.

So now it forces the Republicans to not be defending members in their party, including Trump, against charges of collusion, suppression of evidence, money laundering etc... vs a corrupted FBI, the Democrats, and fake news.
It forces them to defend Russians, and them alone, vs. the FBI.
Brilliant because once a lot of Republicans go on record as supporting this move against only Russians, which I'm sure they will. Then they must give ground that the FBI is doing its job in a non partisan way. Then when Mueller indicts more lower level campaign workers, they will be forced to still go along with it, and support law enforcement, even while grumbling and insisting that it was a few lone wolves.
It sets them up for when finally Mueller goes after the big orange cheese. To flip back 180 at that point and call Mueller corrupted just won't go down as well.

(51,630 posts)that we don't see. He has boxes of evidence for each sentence in each printed indictment. There is SO much work that has been done already just to deliver this "simple" piece today. It is the tip of the iceberg.
If he tries to fire Meller or Rosenstein now he will look even more guilty. The money trail is what is going to be the main evidence...not collusion and obstruction as much. And if Mueller somehow disappears, he has already given Schneiderman, the NY AG, tons of his info and that will nail him at the state level. He can't get out of this. HA!
Meanwhile the Fucking Moron is acting like he isn't upset about Russian hacking and that speaks volumes. Any innocent president would be furious with Russia for what they have done to our country. Instead he goes to FL where the residents hate his guts due to no action on gun control and actually making it easier for the mentally ill to obtain guns and this is 10 miles from Mar a Lago. Melania is pissed off at him for having another affair and Fuckubee Sanders has not even bee able to lie to reporters' faces since Tues. He'll be having a relaxing golf weekend... Happy Presidents' Day you fucking moron!

(9,670 posts)Robert Mueller will likely be remembered for centuries for the masterpiece of legal theater he is about to unveil, a solitary man (with a dream-team co-counsel) who single-handedly became the check and the balance at a time when our purported leaders were engaged in a criminal conspiracy.
The tide turned today. It really did.

(4,423 posts)From the indictment it is clear that even if there was attempts by these indicted Russians to collude with the Trump campaign any such collusion has already be labeled "unwitting" on the part of the American, that in itself is a bad sign but worse this whole secondary issue of Russians fomenting political divide and actually launching anti-Trump protests after the election is giving an entire narrative to the right wing to call anyone that is resisting Trump "Kremlin Puppets".... I really wish those Russians in Trump tower were the ones under indictment that would send a completely different message and how does this Bernie Sanders camp influenced by Russians play out, all told this is not good news, sorry.
