Rachel just made a good point (which, of course, is no surprise)

As Trump says, the Russian operation did start before he was running for president but as Rachel noted, it started right after he got back from a trip to Russia for the Miss Universe pageant.

Coincidence? I think not.

IMHO Trump ran for president because Putin ordered him to and I have no doubt that vote totals were tampered with. I just hope we eventually find out everything Putin has on Trump - there's more than a pee-pee tape and much worse.

happened right after he was shown some compromising material by some Russian operatives. I also believe that Melania knows most of what there is to know, and has for all that time.

I wonder if we'll ever find out whether Putin used the pee tape and other, worse kompromat to induce Dolt 45 to run for president. At this point nothing, no matter how nefarious, would surprise me.

Not directly. But they could see what a buffoon he was, and knew what a buffoon Page was.

They saw that a powerful American was ignorant as fuck, and corruptible as hell.

Citizens United also comes into play, they could wield lots of influence there as well

They saw also that Hillary Clinton was the direct opposite. They were scared shitless about Hillary

Crying out loud, he was in Moscow for his beauty pageant for several months in 2013.

Trump claims he never talked to Putin, but I've heard he's been known to lie from time to time.
