we have entire political parties and economic systems dedicated to resisting that, no mater what.

ALL of this is traced to that.

It may take a while to overcome the corrupting influence of NRA's campaign contributions. Until that time...

To avoid having bullet proof vests becoming the national school uniform, would it do any good to have kevlar curtains that can drop over every classroom door?

Bullet proof curtains to drop across hallways when the emergency button is hit?

Bullet proof emergency shelter tents in classrooms?

Disable fire alarm switches in hallways so would-be killers can't use them to lure kids from classrooms?

Metal detectors at every entrance coupled to automatic doors?
