Most of these high school kids will be of age to vote in the presidential next election, we need them to register, then mobilize.

It's going to have to be the women and the younger generation who step up and take back our country and change the laws to restrict the sale of assault rifles or any gun and to rewrite the second amendment to reflect today's realities.

Notice how she has no problem calling out Trump personally and his connection to the NRA and their blood stained money. Forget out lame assed media who tiptoe around the truth.

Most of us would be too traumatized to speak days after surviving a mass shooting. Not only is she speaking, she's publicly denouncing Trump and the NRA - two repulsive entities with passionate (and vindictive) supporters.

How many times prior to your 19th birthday did you give a well-researched, organized, nuanced, impassioned yet poised speech to a grieving nation?

Even if your answer is that you did it dozens of times (which would be pretty amazing), I don't get why you need to diminish what is the most impressive speech by a teenager I've heard in a long time. Acknowledging that reality takes nothing away from how amazing it is each time that someone so chronologically young steps up to fill a leadership vacuum.

CNN played a clip of her speech and I was blown away.

Some of these kids will be eligible to vote either in 2018 or 2020, and they are not going to weasel out. They've been too close to it, they're tech-savvy, and they're at that age when rebellion comes naturally. And many of them have totally lost respect for what's being passed off as government. This will be their country someday, and they want it.
