The wingnuts subtly change their excuses in light of the indictments

Nice try. There are dozens on damning statements but none more damning than this one:

Trump said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and that he had assured Trump that there was no interference in the campaign.

That I've been told before. This seems to be a normal human trait.

When it comes to the FOX news lovers, though, this function seems to have been disabled. They can be told one thing one day, and the polar opposite the next, and their brains don't warn them of the conflict.

Brainwashing is fascinating to watch and terrifying at the same time.

I loved it when I read it, but I thought to myself "well, the society as described by Orwell is so unrealistic – this could never happen in real life. Nobody would just accept new facts that contradict what the party said yesterday. Sure, they might notice it, but refrain from voicing any concerns, out of fear. But they would notice that something's wrong."

Turns out I was wrong. Scary.

Except their head is up their ass. It is a warm, comfortable place. They do not have to think and are free to hate. This is not hyperbole. I know many Fox Viewers and this description is accurate.
