answer this for America - how much money did you receive from the NRA?
Who was the first American President to speak at the NRA gathering for decades?
And while you're at it
who invited the NRA monsters to the WH and posed for pictures?
Go fuck yourself you vile, despicable deplorable! The world hates you.

(13,225 posts)I can't imagine how the families of those dead children felt when they learned that terrorist Wayne LaPierre was an invited guest to the White House Christmas party.
<snip>
Hockley first criticized Sanders for saying she didnt think any action could have been taken to prevent the shooting.
But while I can forgive Sanders for her lack of knowledge (though not her lack of compassion) I cannot say the same for President Trump, Hockley wrote.
Not only did he ignore the 5-year remembrance completely - not even a single tweet - he slapped us all in the face by having none other than NRA President Wayne LaPierre at his White House Christmas party that night. The appalling lack of humanity and decency has not gone unnoticed.
Sanders confirmed to the New York Daily News that LaPierre was among the guests at the White House Christmas party on Dec. 14.

(10,252 posts)I don't hate anyone. As a Buddhist, I have taken a personal vow not to hate anyone. Hatred is poison. Trump hates. His supporters hate. I don't hate. I'm better than that. Which doesn't mean that I like him. It just means that I see his ignorance, narcissism, greed, envy, criminality, cowardice, etc for what it is. For me, the energy and emotion that would be spent on hatred is much better spent staying calm and focused on electing Dems, and kicking GOP butts out of political office.
Stay calm and vote Dem.

(10,252 posts)In my tradition, hatred is poison. That does not mean that you can't see words, deeds, behaviors for what they are: beneficial, harmful, or neutral. We need to see very clearly without the obfuscation of negative emotions. We can see that Trump's whole mind set and behavior is unAmerican, selfish, vulgar, counter-productive to his oath of office and to general human decency. The harm that he causes to himself and others begins with his thought processes. Defending Self, seeing Self as the center of the universe, the highest of all values, destroying others, etc. I would encourage you to examine your feelings, when you experience hatred versus what you feel, when you more objectively see behavior as helpful or unproductive.
Hatred makes people stupid. Think, say, and do stupid stuff. We have but the example of Trump himself to see how hatred has magnified his stupidity.
Stay calm and vote Dem!

I can't say I love Trump and i find most of his actions to be self serving.

(17,276 posts)Having a family outing. There really seems to have been a tipping point with this last shooting. The anger and outrage: let it not settle down and be forgotten this time!
Let the clown in the White House have to keep trying to escape responsibility and the GOP congress. Don't let it go.

He would know the answer to question #1 since the student who gave that wonderful speech at the demonstration gave the answer to him in case he didn't know it. That was very kind of her to assist the stable genius. But, of course he didn't listen or was probably even aware that there was a rally at all, even though if wasn't too far from him and his gilded bubble.

(2,067 posts)Let's not lose sight of that, either. Come to think of it, he would be very hard put to find another homegrown American organization that was tailor made to sow so much violence and destruction, chaos, hatred and discord into the American voting public as that little gem. And didn't the NRA funnel Russian money into Trump's campaign? Talk about divide and conquer...
