White House says Trump son-in-law Kushner can do job without security clearance

Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, can continue in his role as a senior White House adviser even if he does not obtain a security clearance, the White House said on Tuesday.

Kushner has been operating under a temporary clearance for the past year while the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducts a background investigation. Under an order issued on Friday by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, Kushner will lose the temporary clearance in less than a week.

I have little doubt that Trump has shared highly classified information with his private circle of friends and family. Does anyone really think otherwise?

He doesn't read them himself, he lets Jared explain them in short sentences.

So, a building is making the hard decisions now? I'd think we'd want to hear that the decision was made by a human.

Remember when Hillary Clinton was using a private e-mail server while she was Secretary of State? You may have seen some passing mention of it in the papers once upon a time. Even though that server, unlike several government servers, was never hacked, the Republicans were oh-so-concerned about possible breaches of security and potential exposure of classified information. My goodness, were Republicans ever worried 'way back when about our enemies getting their hands on the crown jewels of our security apparatus. Sure, no breaches were ever found, but that didn't make it any less serious.

Now, someone without security clearance at all, who has "amended" his disclosure statements dozens of times, and who is probably up to his beady little eyeballs in debt to some of the most unscrupulous motherfuckers on the planet, has full and unfettered access to some of the most sensitive secrets in our government. Where now are the Republicans and their deep concern of yesteryear?

and he will, one way or another...

it will have to be torn down and rebuilt. Board by board, brick by brick.

Because that building has more Russian bugs than the mattresses at the Hotel Volgograd.

This is just one of the many consequences of electing a Russian puppet to the highest executive office in the United States.
