(510 posts)And still subs sometimes. He is from the northwoods so has a hunting background. He also says that arming teachers may be the single dumbest thing he has ever heard.

(14,337 posts)Mr. Smith is armed. Miss Jones doesn't want to be. Are you going to guarantee that the shooter will go into Mr. Smith's
class first and be taken out before he gets to Miss Jones class? Only some kids will be protected? You cannot see where this "voluntary" will go?
Or maybe these few teachers will form a SWAT Team running down the Hallways? That should work out well.
