If your spouse had a horse in the Olympics, would you watch?
I would. It is unthinkable that I would not. Whose spouse would ever talk to them again?
"WTF? You can't be bothered to spare five minutes to watch the culmination of all my work?" (And also the culmination of her MS fighting therapy regime, ostensibly.)
In case anyone doesn't know, Romney announced that he is not going to watch his wife's horse.
This guy cannot get out of his own way. It's bad enough that you have a dancing horse. Now you compound it with, "I'm also a prick."
The only upside of the dancing horse was that it might have provided some sense that Mitt likes his wife or something.

(1,374 posts)because it makes him look so out of touch. I could easily see it backfiring on him for reasons you explained. When he admitted that he's not going to see the event he also didn't seem to know anything about the specifics. I think Williams asked if there's qualifying or just one chance and Mitt acted like he didn't even know. Of course he knows, he just doesn't want to talk about it at all. What a jerk.

(1,018 posts)for Romney to show up at the Olympics in London to remind everyone of his own 'Olympic prowess." $100K is a cheap political ad. Also, strange he didn't even know when this horse was performing. Didn't he have to coordinate that with his wife and political itinerary?
