CNN made good on their promise to offer “proof” that they didn’t try to script an interview between a survivor of last week’s mass shooting in Parkland, FL and a lawmaker.
Documents reviewed by Mediaite reportedly reveal that emails purportedly showing an incriminating exchange between a CNN producer and the family of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab have been “doctored,” the website revealed Friday night.
On Wednesday, Pizzagate conspiracist Mike Cernovich and Illuminati-believing vlogger Mark Dice promoted blog posts that alleged Haab was not allowed to speak at CNN’s town hall between Stoneman Douglas students and their lawmakers because of his pro-gun stance. Soon after, Fox News and later President Donald Trump picked up the story, causing CNN to respond directly to the president on Twitter.
Haab appeared on Fox News last night with host Tucker Carlson to allege that CNN producer Carrie Stevenson wrote him a question to ask one of the lawmakers at the event.
