Letter I wrote to my city council rep re NRA convention in May.

Dear....

I am writing to urge that the city Dallas not allow the NRA to hold their convention here in May.

The NRA has shown themselves to be nothing more than advocates, lobbyists and shills for merchants of death. The NRA has allowed themselves to be money launderers for Russian money used to illegally influence our elections.

As a citizen of Dallas I do not want us to abet them in any way for their continued obstruction of sensible gun legislation. The continued violence in our schools, our churches, public streets and just anywhere people gather can be laid directly at their door.

There is also the possibility the presence of hundreds armed conventioneers will be a danger to our population.

Please keep them out of our city.

Thank you for your consideration, etc...

Dallas officials for some reason signed a contract over a year ago and may have a hard time getting out of it...but worth a try. I'll bet they won't be welcomed here if they do come.

Well done, we all need to contact our local convention bureau and elected representatives, suggesting that they not agree to host a convention from the NRA.
