TRANSLATION: "He will make the decision I have already told him to make, because that's the "right" decision, and if there is any blowback, he's taking the hit, not me."

POSSIBLE DECISION #1: "He's my fucking son in law. Give him security clearance and you take the fall for any bad press."

POSSIBLE DECISION #2: "I'm getting killed in the media. No security clearance. And you take the fall for Jared, and especially Ivanka, when they need someone to hate for the decision."
