And the more I think about it, the more certain I am that he will. See my signature line. That a quote from Nixon's DEFENSE lawyer. If that's how Nixon's own lawyer defended him, what is an aggressive balls-of-steel PROSECUTOR going to do?

I hope you are correct and he is indicted. Mueller must contend with the bulk of the GOP. Pence is obviously implicated. Ryan is also - remember him saying "this stays in the family" and then claiming it was a joke. McConnell has at least been complicit in taking illegal contributions from Russia. The entire leadership of the GOP is criminal and the tentacles sink deep into the other members.
Just observing the GOP actions confirms the complicity of the entire party. The GOP is an organized criminal mob in control of our government. Trump is just the tip of the iceberg.

I realize all of this is obvious and well known to DU members, but there will be a Hell of a Fight to purge the criminals. Civil War? Sounds extreme, but with NRA and gun nuts drinking their kool-aid, I fear for American lives. GOP is fine with AR15 slaughters so should we expect a peaceful removal of this evil from our government. Please convince me I am wrong.

It is the nation’s last defense for Constitutional governance. Indeed, the GOP has been invaded by Russia. But when indictments are issued and defendants are named, the process continues regardless of political rhetoric. I don’t think that any kind of open rebellion will commence. The legal system works quietly, deliberately.

Let’s also remember that FNC is also a target in a counterintelligence investigation: conspiring with a foreign power to damage the United States through disseminating propaganda in a coordinated fashion.

That's where this all leads. Trump may think hanging on to the Presidency (a job he loathes) is his get of jail free card, but I think Mueller is going after him regardless.
