Over the last 2 years he has grown in his political gravitas, and become very well spoken. Plus, there is the Hispanic vote. I think he could take Texas.

(36,926 posts)I don't have a list of his legislative accomplishments at hand, but I believe his voting record is extremely progressive. Obama had spent less time in the Senate than Castro has in the House when he got the nomination.

(19,957 posts)In the door a wet week and I would suggest has a higher profile. Even Eric Swalwell has a much higher profile. It won't come to him, he needs to get out there and claim it.

Hearing Kamala Harris taking on people testifying to the senate...that was impactful. She's tough, smart, and cool-headed. Definatly got my attention.

I believe Dems must always from here on out have POC on our national tickets.
I know many here disagree and say they don't care, its about positions. Obviously positions matter and there is a Dem platform.
It's about representatiion.
I also think most POC will share that their ethnicity / race does matter, in their daily lives.
