I have two ROKU devices. If I do not see a change in your support for the NRA I will be sending both of them back to you after disabling them such that they cannot be re-conditioned and offered for sale at a discount.
I am NOT the NRA and I'm 325,000,000 strong.

Anyone can create a Roku channel, and make it available. Roku channels are either public (in the listings that you see) or private (you need to go online to your Roku account and add an access code).
IMO the NRA TV Roku channel should go private. Along with similar channels. You can't have a porn channel on the Roku public listing... they're all private.

(14,559 posts)that's why not every device delivers every service.
If I cancel all my services, get a different device and re-subscribe on the new device Roku doesn't see any revenue from the services I use.
I might be wrong, but that's my understanding of the business model.

(10,303 posts)I've always understood them to be a hardware and streaming platform provider - not into content. My first Roku only had Netflix on it... Then came Amazon... and all the rest.
Anyone who has the skill, content and means to serve up streaming content can have a Roku channel. We could even have DU TV on Roku.
So NRA TV on Roku... Taking it down is probably a no go. But people can install the channel, rate it down to 1 star and then remove it. That can push it down the rankings.

(15,696 posts)Roku boxes are purchased, not returned to Roku when you're finished with them. They're just media players.

(31,464 posts)Just disconnect the service. Wait. Maybe they'll drop NRA TV. But why destroy a perfectly good streaming device when it won't make the slightest bit of difference?

Still it's a PROTEST. And if I'm that pissed I'll do my damnedest to make sure others won't use their product either.

If you are contacting a company about ties to the NRA, here's a sample of what you can say:
"Hi. Im a customer of [CompanyName]. Unfortunately I can no longer do business with your company because it has business ties to the NRA and/or NRA-approved senators. If your company were to no longer have these ties, I would enthusiastically return as a customer. Please communicate my feedback to management.
