Not that they don't deserve it. But, the only one who could beat them out for Time's Person of the Year would probably be Robert Mueller. I am glad I won't have to make the choice.

Person of the Year maybe...we still have 9 months to go.

Nobel Peace prize absolutely not. That is for world wide recognition.
Although tragic as it is in America, there are a lot more countries experiencing tradgey on level that dwarf ours..
It would be a mockery to the spirit of the award to give it to them; being a survivor of a tradgey that small on the world stage doesn't qualify.

How about the White Helmets and thier leader Raed of Syria.
Google him and his group up...been nominated a bunch and never won it. Or Badawi a woman who spoke out and was found guilty of insulting Islam.

IMHO those kids aren't even in thier class and don't deserve the Nobel prize.

Or in many state legislatures. Reinstating an assault weapons ban, for instance, could save many lives. Doesn't mean they should win a Nobel peace prize, but a nomination wouldn't be out of order to recognize their efforts.

A nomination for achieving such a tremendous accomplishment would certainly be in order.

We must always be cognitive of the fact it's a world medal, and that there is greater suffering.
It's sad that one has to even keep such horrible things like that in perspective.
