I think if Manafort is incarcerated he should be sent to upstate NY to stew for a while. He has

been given many chances to cooperate and has more or less spit in the eye of Mueller and team. He needs to seriously be put away to think about his situation, when ready he can speak to Mr. Mueller again. Am I on the right track here?

His time on home probation didn't go well and I just thought jail might be a better alternative. n/ monmouth4 Feb 2018 #4

He can't go into general population in any facility or he will die in prison during a riot or an "incident" among inmates...
If Manafort is the apex of the pyramid to Trump, he will get a deal and save his own ass...

If not, then it looks like he will do a long stretch in federal prison. The only thing unknown about the crook is what he knows about or can tie to Trump to save his own ass.

He always struck me as the Ray Liotta portrayal of Henry Hill from Wiseguy/Goodfellas...we will see if he turns rat or not if he has anything to offer to save himself. Some thieves go to prison for their benefactors....remember Barry Bonds' trainer doing time for him?

What are you suggesting here?

Nobody has to cooperate with a criminal prosecutor, absent subpoenas of documents etc..

No, we don't lock people up until they are ready to talk.

If Manafort wants to sit across a table from Mueller with his middle finger extended, that's certainly his right to do so.

Are there other punitive means you believe are appropriate to get people to "cooperate" in their own criminal prosecution?

And get a nice, Big Strong Man to keep him company in jail. Maybe then he'd realign his priorities...
