And we've lost a lot of ground in the state legislature as well. This gives me hope.

I just got back from a Democratic Town Committee meeting where we heard some of our state level candidates. We've got a deep bench of outstanding candidates for Attorney General.

There are still Republicans in Connecticut? I've lived here for twenty years...I didn't know they still existed except in Fairfield County and the Litchfield hills.

My Dad was a Rockefeller Republican who left the party after Limbaugh came on the scene...he said that talk radio would destroy the country and he was right. My Dad was a smart man...an inventor. When you insulate your home with a carbohydrate based foam insulation...you are using my Dad's invention. He was the first to produce this product and the patents are in his name.

One of my uncs was industrial strength repub. A diehard Nixon lover. When we were invited to go over for a picnic or holiday, my family shuddered. My auntie was also my Godmother and, although not knowing her political leaning, she was a sweetheart. So we went for her primarily. He would 'boom' while going on about Mr. "I am not a crook". Esp. after a few drinks. The guys drinking with him down in his bar would start slipping away. He was a kinda decent fellow, but said something outspoken once concerning me to my mom and she never forgot.

My dear auntie. She was so cool. She worked for Columbia records and would buy current 45's. She played them when I went over and we danced 'American Bandstand' style!

If I accidentally married a repub, I most likely would've driven him away with my mouth. 'Don't let the door hit ya......!' I'd be needing to 'call Sol'!😄

My ma and dad were true blue. They passed it on. I think my paternal gran was repub. What canya do.

You mind if I PM you when I can? It's supper time and our mini-circus will be getting cranked up again.🎪🤹

I married a Republicans years ago...I didn't even date Republicans but he was not very political. I didn't know. He did listen to Limbaugh...found him funny ( I don't), but when Limbaugh started with the racism...he never listened again in time he became a Democrat. His parents had been Republican (old school) and he really wasn't anything...now he is pretty much a socialist in his views!

He was in university so that was encouraging that he most likely not an R.

His parents? I dunno. They're Swedes thru and thru so who knows.

His close cuz was member of local young repub party. We dint talk politics.

After we got hitched, several years later I threatened him to register as a Democrat OR ELSE. 😂

He's not as much an activist as I try to be. But I take what I can get! 😁

One time my ma remarked that I should 'run' for something. Yeah, like away from home!

I PM you ASA I 'get the lead outta my caboose!'😉

And she has been made to look 'easy' by the press ... I actually find that distasteful and hope her choice of men improves. She dodged a bullet with Porter.
