2 out 3 Flipped to Blue!!
@Taniel
First result: GOP holds KY's #HD89, winning it 67%-33%. Trump carried #HD89 by 62%, so that's still a net swing of 28% toward Dems.
(28% is also the average swing toward Dems in all 2018 special election so far combined, per @DKElections.)

(19,348 posts)1. The CT seat was held by the GOP since 74'.
This is a massive win.

(23,520 posts)2. Wonderful!
How does a 0% swing flip a seat? Just curious! I guess that must be the swing in Democratic share and not the swing in D-R margin.

(6,377 posts)4. That one was weird
The previous seat holder was a Republican, but Clinton won the district 52-48. The New Democrat defeated his opponent also 52-48, so technically it was a swing, with a zero percent change.

(6,377 posts)3. Even in the loss, that was a great showing in Kentucky.
That seat never had a chance to swing, but cutting into the lead that much says something.
