Does Mueller discuss anything with the leaders in the House and Senate?

Would that be unprecedented?

If he had the goods on Donald Trump, would it be wise to give both Parties a heads-up?

Are not informed decisions better than uninformed decisions?

It would seem logical to me.

If they were to decide on impeachment, it would be better to have all the facts.

Don't you think?

No, I doubt it. I am sure someone on his team does negotiate issues with the chair/ranking members hlthe2b Feb 2018 #2

of the investigating intelligence and judiciary committees (or maybe from Rosenstein's office) to coordinate witnesses, etc., but I seriously doubt anything else is coming from Mueller.

..he was nearing the end of his investigation. I think Mueller wants the voters of this country to help him with his decision? Maybe he wants to wait until after mid-term elections before making any decisions? However, he has been very busy lately, it seems? He's making good progress.

But people are growing weary. They want this to end yesterday. Unfortunately, this is a huge and complex investigation. Money-laundering. Bank fraud. And numerous other charges.

If he wanted something to leak, all he would need to do is tell the Congress.

Would he not be required to inform the Attorney General of events?

And if he informed Jeff Sessions, who would he talk to??

Mueller (SC) does what he does and reports it to Rosenstein (DOJ).

DOJ approves (or not) indictments. They are then issued.

DOJ is (at least as far as Mueller goes) an investigative and law enforcement agency. They only need to report out when they're done. In fact, reporting to ANYONE is to risk leaks and therefore the entire investigation.

These things NEED secrecy.

Also, I think the Attorney General recused himself from the "Russia investigation"? The smartest thing that Jeff Sessions ever did!
