including the health care industry and the health care insurance industry.

Consequently we end up with a health care system to replace our most expensive but far from the best system in the world and it is likely that it may cost us even more and provide an even more inferior level of care for many.

We don't know yet if Holmes is mentally ill, that he has a chronic mental illness. Sure, I'll agree that anyone who'd do what he did is disturbed in some manner.

Until he has been fully and properly evaluated it's premature for us laypeople to do armchair diagnosis and blame our crappy healthcare system for failing to treat him and prevent the tragedy.

Maybe he's just mean and bitter because he had to deal with not being the genius so many people seemed to have told him he was and channeled all that rage into his heinous acts. I don't know. I'm not a professional.

And sure, maybe he is a first class whack-a-doodle. I keep reading conflicting reports on whether or not his family says h showed signs of mental illness. Trust me, as someone who lived with a schizophrenic brother there would have been signs.

States should be encouraged to provide a health system like Canada
