Knowing Russia intends to hack Midterms, GOP fires key election official battling cyber attacks

Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and the White House decided, this week, to replace Matthew Masterson, who is the chair of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Masterson has played a substantial role in helping to protect states from possible Russian cyber attacks against U.S. elections.

Backing up a bit, in mid-February, Masterson expressed his strong concern over the election manipulation issue.

We need to make this next election historic. We need to GOTV so that it becomes the election that will have the largest voter turnout ever in U. S. history.

If we do that - they can't possibly cheat enough or steal enough votes to win without exposing themselves.

This has got to be our Nov 2018 plan.

GOTV!!!!

We need to work on that goal now!!!!

and servers across certain states or regions can be hijacked.

The social network and right wing echo chamber influence is down.

With Reublicans, if there's a way to cheat, there's a will.

State Dems need to find out how it can be done and get governors to throw out digital voting machinery.

need to understand that Russia's help is not FREE...If the GOP allows Russia to meddle again in the USA election system, to "help" the GOP keep their sits, this is not done for FREE, the GOP will owe favours to the Russian regime, and Russia will make sure to collect.

The offer Russia has made to the GOP is a "Sales Offer", when you buy something you pay for it.

Why is this so hard to understand to some people?

look at my state of texas. The repukes employ gerrymandering, voter rigging, vote suppression all to stay in power, do you think they would honestly pass up an offer by the russians to fuck with our elections to the repukes could win? I think we know that answer.
