Maybe Donald Frederickovich needs an additional stiffener to ensure his support within his party doesn't flag?

our next task should be regime change in Russia. Enough of that pint-sized tyrant!

Geo-political, geo-economic retaliations in all shapes, sizes, and forms happen thousands of times a year between every country on the planet. A simple adjustment in tariff rates on a specific industry is a retaliation. So is upping visa requirements, etc etc.

Declaring that we are going to actively regime change Putin out in Russia is madness, quickly taking the world to the brink of global thermonuclear war. Covertly acting with massive sweep to do that (and getting caught) would do the same. We already support alternative candidates (think Garry Kasparov and Alexei Navalny) and thought on a fairly large scale, but those have been easily swatted aside.

The last successful, overt intervention we had in Russian politics was 20 plus years ago when we helped install the uber corrupt, disastrous, and hated Boris Yeltsin regime. Not only did this help bring Putin himself to power, but our interference then is constantly used by Putin and millions of Russians and other nations' citizens to brush off our complaints about the 2016 Trump nightmare.

We need to impeach, convict and remove Trump, go to paper, hand counted ballots, stop the insanely bad Republican gerrymandering, voter suppression, caging, etc., harden all our voting system databases, plus force the social media companies to find ways to stop Russian (and other countries) from using fake news and political propaganda to influence our elections. We also need to use sanctions and other soft diplomact tactics to punish Russia for what it did.

We also need to stop our own interventions in other sovereign nations politics, and finally, we do NOT need to push the world to the brink of nuclear war by outright regime change attempts with a global nuclear superpower.

Werner von Braun and his team drew up plans for a three-stage orbital rocket during WWII. They were reprimanded (WvB was even briefly jailed, IIRC) for wasting time on frivolous fantasies when the Reich wanted long-range weapons.

FYI, the woman in the video is Maria Katasonova, a close associate of Kremlin propagandist Konstantin Rykov who claims he ran an information campaign from Russia to get Donald Trump elected. Katasonova has been vocal in her support of Trump as well as others, such as Marine La Pen, who she actually met with twice in the run up to the French elections.
