"Why do you like Trump?"

We met up with some relatives recently and my better half asked them that question.

The answer almost in unison was, "Because he's doing everything he said he would".

I've heard others say this also.
So strange.

We dropped the politics quickly.

And it included everything he has actually done, would it make a difference?

Or would they just deny all of the broken promises?

His answer "Well, I don't like him as a person, but I like his policies. And, he's still better than Clinton"

We haven't spoken since then, and this was before Christmas. I just can't......

For instance?

It doesn't have to be confrontational, just a little Socratic dialog until you've demonstrated that they don't know what the fuck they're talking about. They won't be happy with you, but oh well.

that this administration screws the people they hate (immigrants, people of color, the poor, and women, especially single moms).
They may not like Trump as a person, but to them, that's minor, as long as he advances their agenda of their cruelty and hate. And the Russia thing doesn't bother them at all. In fact, they think Russia did us all a big favor by meddling to get Dumpy elected.

And, after all, HER EMAILS!!!!!

Straight from the lips of that Russian favorite, Carter Page.

In TrumpWorld, everything’s upside-down. Really horrible people consider themselves to be great patriots. Real news is fake news, while genuine fake news is pushed as gospel.

Freedom is slavery. George Orwell had it nailed.

That is the only real campaign promise that Trump has kept. He makes it okay to be open about your dislike of Mexicans, Black people, Muslims, LGBT people, women, and liberals.

They would likely be unable to name specific policies that he has actually kept his promise on, but they don't care really. They like that he does not treat people with dignity and acceptance, which somehow makes them feel good about themselves.

That's the thing for me with what Shred posted. He's doing everything he said he would do? Aside from appointing incompetent nutjobs to the bench, and a tax cut plan that is even questioned by supporters, they've nothing.
