some countries censor the more explicit violence in video games and game makers provide modified
version of their games in those countries.

Two words...American Men That is who kills. How about addressing this issue. It is our culture, the macho man attitude, the media, mental health, access to guns, etc. Mix it all together and you get mass murder. This is 100 years in the making and will take a long time to "correct". We have to get rid of guns first!
