So, the discussions have started as to who should be on our presidential ticket in 2020.

Some of the people being mentioned have no interest in running. Some will just talk about running. Others will run and fold quickly. A handful will be "finalists". I have my preferences and will be expressing them when we are beyond the midterms. At this point I am only certain of one thing: I will vote for and support whoever is nominated by the Democratic Party.

It used to be said that "politics stops at the water's edge." We Democrats should vow that party squabbles stop when the primaries are concluded. Like never before, our democracy is at stake.

Many folks still fighting over 2016.

Hard to move forward when looking in the rear view mirror.

Which I doubt more and more every day.

Even 2018 is not a given.

And have been going on intermittently ever since.

As to not having elections this year or in 2020 . . . sigh. This was bruited about before the 2004 election, and has come up periodically since. Also the fear-mongering of martial law being invoked. Won't happen.
