Quote from Hannah Arendt. "The Origins of Totalitarianism", 1967

"
As a Jew, Arendt chose to leave Nazi Germany in 1933, and lived in Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, and France before escaping to the United States in 1941 via Portugal. She became an American citizen in 1950, having been stripped of her German citizenship in 1937. Her works deal with the nature of power and the subjects of politics, direct democracy, authority, and totalitarianism. The Hannah Arendt Prize is named in her honor."

Her quote is so spot on! It's subtle as well. It's easy to get lost in all the parentheses......but I read it carefully, and there's no question that it's true.

Thank You!

I am planning on reading some of her work.

I believe it will give insight into Trumps tactics.

Some aspects I really didn’t agree with when I read it 20 years ago, but as time passes it seems more and more like she got things right I wasn’t comprehending at that time.

Cause she saw right through his propagandistic bullshit.
A good lesson in the Age of Trump.
