Meanwhile, I've gotten survey and donation requests from the DNC, ACLU, Emily's List, etc. in the last couple weeks. I have to say it's disappointing that they have "lists" of issues to rank, and half the time I can't find my most important issues anywhere!!

I'm a loyal Democrat, but I wonder what really goes on behind the scenes when they create these surveys.

With the leading questions.

Have you or your family been positively affected by the recent tax cuts?

Its like a rhetorical question. Most haven't felt anything yet because it hasn't been enough time, and they won't feel much at all, but it frames it as an obvious answer...yes! of course ANY tax cut would be 'positive'.

Do you support Trump's efforts to invest in rebuilding infrastructure? Again, sounds good. But there as yet are no indications that the GOP will spend money on such frivolities as infrastructure, even if Trump orders it, when they could be giving themselves even bigger tax cuts. And how much money would The Wall take away from infrastructure spending?

I certainly do and am not that old yet!

That disjointed speech in Pa. scared me to death. We have either a crazy man in the WH, or one suffering from Dementia, repeating himself over and over. And,it is getting worse!

And please welcome that newly awakened mom to our lively and expanding group of Democrats! GOOD for her, and good for all the rest of us, too. I hope there are many many many more out there like her.

Souls really CAN be saved!

It is interesting to see what the GOP is focusing on. It looks like they care about the wall, tax cuts, and infrastructure. That's it? Also, if they will vote GOP for House and Senate seats. The DNC didn't ask me which party I was voting for in the midterms and they asked about 10 questions regarding various issues such as economy, LGBT, abortion, climate change, healthcare, education, gun control, immigration/DACA, equal pay, affordable housing and infrastructure.

We must do all we can to defeat these very destructive repubs. I know folks who are afraid to retire with trump and the repubs who will do all they can to hurt them.

Glad to have this new Democrat on board.

Hope she is bringing some of her friends over to the light as well.

asking for donations. I was puzzled at first and then thought "they must be desperate as I've always been a registered Democrat". My response to them was;

"Not sure how I ended up on your mailing list, but would appreciate it that you take me off of it. There is no way in hell that I would support the RNC and the Republican agenda. It's obvious that your policies and your way of thinking is becoming a shrinking minority if you're sending mail like this to non-members. I cannot support a president who bashes people who disagree with him at every turn and acts likes a petulant child."
