Donald Trump's overture to Kim Jung Un was a "great distraction"...

...and will prove no more significant than Emily Litella's "Never mind".

There was no discussion. There was no debate. There was no strategy. It just came out of the blue. He pulled it out of his ass.

Why? Because the heat was getting to be too much from the Stormy Daniels affair and the Robert Mueller Russia investigation and he needed to change the topic of discussion. And he was very successful in doing so. Overnight, all the media was talking about Trump and Kim sitting down to talk.

It ain't gonna happen. We have been in Korea for almost 70 years and we have strategic reasons and relations in Asia and the Pacific. China would love for us to leave South Korea. Eventually, he will see the light and come up with an excuse for why Kim made it impossible to talk.

Never mind.

Namely, report what he DOES and not what he says...

...we will continue to allow Trump to control the media cycles.
