The Olympic cauldron was totally cool.

However, McCartney's voice isn't what it used to be. The Queen's hair looked purple, and the British team's uniforms have weird golden armpits. Other than that, I thought it was pretty good.

NBCOlympics.com says you have to have an internet connection (got it) AND a tv connection (don't got it). I've tried other sites but either they don't work for me (tried it in Firefox and Chrome) or you have to d/l software that my internet security says "I don't THINK so!"

I'd even be happy with a taped version. They have video "highlights" but nothing with the full show.

I understand NBC is getting a lot of flak on FB & Twitter because of it.

Who cares about the commentary. That is like bitching about Christmas morning because you don't like the wrapping paper. This is about the world, stopping for a minute to embrace our own humanity. 99% of the athletes there have no chance to medal, but they come anyway and proudly represent their country. It is a beautiful event, always has been and always will be.

and that was ALL they talked about,

and then turned around at the very next country and talked about all of the dictators and tribulations that Iraq has been through without mentioning the USA in Iraq at all.

They talked about US and British troop levels when Afghanistan was up.

Also the only thing they talked about with Israel was the Munich killings. WTF?

egregious slanted awful things even considering the usually VERY slanted bits of coverage from NBC.

I don't have real complaints about coverage except it is so USA centric. NBC pays a lot of money for the privilege so they get to play lots of commercials.
I consider it as a world game, not a USA game.
